07.51am – Look at the new article below – let me tell you straight it’s a load of shite and totally false.

That may well be the intention, but there are a million oceans to navigate between intention and reality. There are 400 foreign nationals in this prison alone, all who want to go back to their country – two Indian nationals had six (yes six) flights cancelled costing over £30,0000 since 2013. To remove foreign nationals will cost thousands of jobs within the criminal justice industry and it won’t happen.

07.54am – Below a news article on jail safety.

I agree with Nick Hardwick – all jails are not fit for purpose just some worse than others. Here it’s getting worse each day because of lack of staff. Look at the Criminal Justice Act 2003 S.142 the purpose of imprisonment. Each time a Judge jails someone that must be on his mind. Only deterrence is valid, all others are not fit for purpose.

07.46am – How terribly sad to read that Bobby Vee has died.

It was a lucky break for him, when he was asked to perform the day Buddy Holly died, but then, in life, you just need a piece of good luck now and again. Most of us actually do get a break, it’s just that either we don’t recognize it (until it’s too late) or don’t know how to use it wisely. That is human life though – each totally individual, and not one in all the years that the world has existed that is facsimile to the other. We each have our own psyche and some more recognizable than others. Going back to Bobby I never got the chance to meet him when I was at MGM, but I do like his songs, great that his boys performed with him.

07.51am – Interesting to see report below on scabies in prison.

I and eleven others went through this last year at HMP Swaleside it was horrible, and I blame the prison service who no longer provide cleaning materials in prison. Absolutely absurd.

07.39pm – I received yesterday the prosecutions reply to my appeal on sentence. I will make no comment at all, but just wait and see, and some will be quite surprised. On another front I’m glad that for once – the law and the technicalities of the law was applied and not interpreted. In the three and a half years plus, I have seen this side of the criminal justice system, and I have seen so many errors, and very sloppy prosecutions with so many different errors, only to be ‘washed away’ by the intellectually dishonest Court of Appeal who – like the CCRC – are not fit for purpose. The Court of Appeal is not there to dispense justice but to protect the prosecution from the many mistakes they make and find an escape route for them. That does not happen in Europe technicalities are vital. That is why I am pleased to see the Westminster Magistrates Court apply the law and throw out on EAW on a technicality that (this is controversial) they would never had done before the British people voted to get out of Europe. The EAW is a European instrument….

Saturday 29 October 2016

01.09pm – I was amazed to read that 45% of all the solicitors in England are either ‘under investigation’ or ‘charged’ with money laundering/fraud. That is an incredible statistic. As you can see a young lawyer was indicted, tried and admitted fraud at Portsmouth Crown Court over a very silly offence.

I hope that the guy does not get struck off the Roll of Solicitors. I mean he is 26 and probably just acted in a moment of madness that every person has in life. H should be given a chance, and I hope he will. Of course if he was ‘foreign’ or ‘black’ there would be no questions. Not only would he have gone to jail (no suspended) but, also struck off, probably before the trial, especially as there was a guilty plea. That is not a racist comment but fact. If you think that in the past ten years a number of people died in police custody – not a single one was white. They were all black detainees. So it’s really a fact, and the sooner something is done about it the better, if this country – now going into splendid isolation mode – is to really be a promoter of non discrimination. In the meantime we do the best we all can.

Sunday 30 October 2016

07.55am – The clocks went back one hour last night but, you know, I never really felt it, because I sleep, actually, quite well. I do not have a guilty conscience so my sleep pattern is good.

07.58am – I came across this news article in the Daily Mail and boy did it make me smile. I mean how can ‘ordinary men and women’ operate in the ‘face of complex moral’ (that means you can’t sleep with the enemy’….’ethical and physical challenges, often in the most forbidding environment on earth.’ (Try spending my six weeks in Bergin in Norway, dropped, only in your underpants and shoes, in December for six weeks!!!) Yes I would say that part is correct. Well good old (actually he is youngish) Alex Younger who actually, will never deny or confirm that he even works for SIS. Regarding Fleming? There are elements of truth but only work related – as far as I know!!!!

Monday 31 October 2016 – Halloween!!!

07.23am – Its Halloween, but the only scare that we, here, will have, is seeing ourselves not being able to be with our families. Oh well that is how it is. What though is even scarier is the thought that after many years (only in this country) a woman can make an allegation and before you know what, you end up in jail pending trial and then jailed!!! That does not happen in the United States. If Trump had been in the UK with all these women, only now coming out of nowhere, he would be in Wandsworth awaiting trial. Fortunately, the country the UK ‘founded,’ the US has advanced and is mush fairer than this country.

The question that beggars asking: - why the hell, only complain now???? As I say luckily Trump is in America or he would be on C wing (the dark side) at HMP Wandsworth. On another front see this case below – eleven years plus ten years for money laundering.

Can someone please define for me what is money laundering? You have my address, I welcome your thoughts and interpretations.

Now for my Letter from the Inside for October - 'Secrets' - enjoy!

Tuesday 1 November 2016

07.26am – What can I say about the political situation in Iceland: - well, Italy has a comic as head of the ‘five star movement’ that has overtaken the political scene and now Iceland has the Pirate Party!

You see people are sick and tired of the ‘usual and normal’ politician, because they lie to get into power, then steal public money to line their own pockets, so they turn to ‘novel politicians.’ You see there is still room in this country for the Raving Monster Looney Party and Screaming Lord Switch types. Beware though – now a secret revealed – I don’t know if you are aware but should a political party like the British National Party, or a Communist party associate win an election, then there are provisions for the British Military to take power!!! Let that sink in! Democracy my arse as the guy in the Royal Family says.

Wednesday 2 November 2016

07.54am – I am not often jealous of anyone, because all my life, my policy has been of wishing all the very best in life. If I had my way all would be rich and successful. However, when I read about how Daniel Janner QC has, and continues, to defend his father who sadly has died (but even after death he defends him) then I am so jealous of Lord Janner, may God bless his soul. The prosecution often hide documents and evidence, then when discovered say it’s just a mistake. It happened in my case, but it was left to me to deal with it. So to Daniel Janner QC well done and I can tell him his father would be (in fact is) proud of him. Family is (or should be) the most important factor in life. That is what I believe.

Thursday 3 November 2016

07.46am – When I read this below I immediately thought that the only real expert on Caravaggio and who could paint ‘in arrange of Caravaggio’ the missing painting, is Victor Galliano. On another front the prison situation has now exploded with the Prison Officers Union (Association) have given the Justice Secretary until 11 November 2016 to mitigate the ‘safety in prisons’ issue, and they are right, and I support the POA even though it means constant lock up for all!!!!!

Friday 4 November 2016

09.20am – Well I have heard, read, seen some pure trite in my time, but never quite like getting eagles to attack drones around prisons. The real issue is staff and the obscene/shortage of not drones.  This year thirty one drones were ‘captured’ but drugs galore enter the prison system. Well you can’t buy drugs from the prison shop so that leaves two alternatives (i) visits and (ii) staff. But drugs are not the real problem. The real issue is the purpose of imprisonment. Once that is settled it will be easier to resolve the other matters.

09.24am – Well done to dear Alex Younger, but since when have the SIS ever ‘respected’ the law? Knowledge of the law – a bit, but anything else is fanciful.

Saturday 5 November 2016

08.06am – What a coincidence that Caravaggio comes into play for the second time in a week! I say that someone (Caroline!!!!!) should send an email to James Bradbourne of the Pinacoteca di Brera in Mila, asking him to refer and contact Viktor Galliano. Caravaggio had one hell of a life and what an artist. Those that know me will know I’m not a big art man but Caravaggio is some dude (as they say in Baghdad!!!!)

Sunday 6 November 2016

I’m not so sure about this so called law to change to protect victims. You see what is happening over the past thirty years is that in any prosecutions the goal seems to be widening each year, with the ‘law’ making it easier and easier to convict, and defence lawyers loathing going to Court because once a person is in the dock facing allegations it’s just so hard to attain a fair trial.

The Court of Appeal in England is not fit for purpose!!!! It is there purely as an apologist for a stupid and often negligent prosecutions who randomly make procedural errors only to be ‘saved’ by the Court of Appeal who are each day more and more intellectually dishonest.

08.01am – On another front – ha front yes that is the word – the underwear of Eve Braun is on sale for £450!!!!

Boy those must be the most expensive ‘modesty covers’ ever! I mean though, who the hell wants to buy used underwear of a woman whom we don’t know what actually became of her.

Monday 7 November 2016

07.09pm – I wanted to show those that read my journal just how discriminatory the justice system and Government is. Kenny Noye was recommended for CAT D last year – actually he should have been released as this was agreed when I went to Court for him in 2003 but Michael Gove did not have the balls to endorse the parole board. I am told by friends at the Daily Mail he regrets it now. Too late but this time Kenny had better get justice.

Yet a drug addict who butchered his mother gets his twelve years, and rest assured he will be out in twelve years. Tell me that is fair???? Rubbish!!!!

Tuesday 8 November 2016

07.38am – Well I have a lot of sympathy and support for the prison officers, because frankly over the years they have been left out in the cold – freezing cold. This country jails more people than any other country in the world per capita, and rather than increase the number of staff actually on the front line, the government has reduced uniformed officers massively and yet increased the management and those of the Ministry of Justice as administration. Quite rightly the prison Officers Associations complain, but their complaints are falling on deaf ears and all the time the administration increase and prison officers get less, and less, and those that do join are paid less than shelf stackers at a supermarket. So for my part, and those who listen to me within the prison system, my support (even though it prejudices my position) is for the prison officers. There is a solution:- The prison service to be transferred either to a new ministry or better given to the Ministry of Defence!!!

Now, see the statement of the Lord Chief Justice: ‘upholding the law.’

My comment: When will the Court of Appeal start to uphold the law?????

Wednesday 9 November 2016

06.43am – I woke up at about 03.30am to use the toilet, and I did something I only did in June this year when the Brexit vote was ongoing:- I switched the TV on and, lo and behold, it seems Donald Trump will be the 45th President of America. I say seems, because he is not quite there yet but hell I guess if Donald does become President then there is room for Alan (oops sorry Lord) Sugar as PM yet!!!!!

06.47am – Now see the news article below.

This is a very dangerous policy because the killing of a British citizen, by a British citizen abroad, is trouble in the UK at the Central Criminal Court! Further, it’s a premeditated killing so the snipers had better get their orders in writing and, as in writing, immunity from the Attorney General.

07.49am – Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States of America. I wish him well!!!

07.59pm – This afternoon was the graduation ceremony of my Italian friend Alessandro and the Governor here was so very kind and allowed his parents to come in and attend, and I gave a small speech. It was a great day for an Italian family hand how good his parents are to have stood by him for over nine years – you see family is about love; well at least some are about that.

Thursday 10 November 2016

07.40am – Some years back I was able to write a letter or type up legal submissions, watch the TV, listen to my Consort, or children, and be on the phone all at the same time. Well now I have no phone so that is out, and no children, or Consort near me, (more the pity as I miss the human warmth of comfort) so that leaves the TV and writing, and damn me, I struggle having the TV on the same time as writing. Must be old age fast catching up. I guess each day that passes is like a week of old age advancing. There are people here who have been in 20-40 years and boy they look like the walking dead. Not the fault of the Governor or the staff but the system!

07.45pm – Healthcare is also a main problem and sepsis is a big problem in jails because the cleanliness is zilch – again not the fault of the Governor, or staff, because there is no money for cleaning products, disinfectants etc nothing and that means sepsis, herpes, scabies, hepatitis is rife, a vicious circle with no end.
